Super Thrifty Drugs Canada Ltd. is seeking an Accounting Technician to join our head office team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform full cycle accounting
Maintain, monitor, and reconcile GL accounts including cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, accounts payable and accrued liabilities, inter-company and obtaining data from point of sale (POS) system
Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies, and discuss with supervisor to develop resolutions
Filing monthly or quarterly government remittances
Work collaboratively and develop and maintain relationships with team members
Requirements and Qualifications:
Education in business administration or accounting is considered an asset
Proficiency in using spreadsheets with a background in accounting and data entry
Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
Well organized and able to maintain a clean filing system with strong time management skills
Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
